FSA Announces Webinar Training Sessions on the Direct Loan Program

Federal Student Aid (FSA) recently released an announcement, ANN-09-30, regarding the availability of a suite of instructor-led, online training sessions on the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program. The webinar consists of six different 90-minute sessions related to key aspects of Direct Loan processing. The entire webinar training suite will be offered during five different weeks in October, November, and December 2009.

The Direct Loan Webinar Training Suite will cover the following topics:

Direct Loan Processing in COD for New Participants
Direct Loan Programmatic Primer
Direct Loan Systems Primer
Direct Loan Reconciliation
Direct Loan Tools
Direct Loan Reports

The training weeks are as follows:

Week 1: October 6-8, 2009
Week 2: October 20-22, 2009
Week 3: November 3-5, 2009
Week 4: November 17-19, 2009
Week 5: December 8-10, 2009
