FSA Posts Important EDExpress Releases Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority reports that Federal Student Aid posted Release 5.0 of EDExpress for Windows 2008-2009 and Release 3.0 of EDExpress for Windows 2009-2010. Both releases are available on the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site. Release 5.0 contains the final enhancement to EDExpress 2008-2009 to implement provisions of the College Cost Reduction and Access Act (CCRAA), and also implements updates to the EDExpress interface with the FAA Access to the CPS Online Web site. FSA advises that institutions must install Release 5.0 to continue to use the 2008-2009 EDExpress interface with the FAA Access to CPS online Web site. The Electronic Announcement for Release 5.0 can be found at http://ifap.ed.gov/eannouncements/051809AvailabilityofEDExpress0809.html. Release 3.0 must also be installed to continue to use the EDExpress 2009-2010 interface with the FAA Access to CPS online Web site. This update implements the 2009-2010 Federal Pell Grant Payment and Disbursement Schedules in the EDExpress Packaging and Pell Grant modules. Both Electronic Announcements contain instructions on what to do before upgrading to the respective Releases, followed by directions for the download/installation process for each.
