Federal Student Aid Hosts HEOA Webinars Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority offers a reminder of the live internet webinars being offered by Federal Student Aid (FSA). Two series of online, instructor-led training sessions address legislative changes made to Title IV student aid programs. In addition, there is a live internet Town Hall Meeting on the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA). Advance registration is required for these events. The first series of webinars focuses on HEOA changes to the Federal Pell Grant (Pell Grant) and Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant (TEACH Grant). As well, the webinar deals with changes made to the Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) and National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (National SMART Grant) programs made by the Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loans Act of 2008 (ECASLA). The schedule for the sessions is as follows.

The second series of on-line trainings will address changes to the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) and William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) programs made by the HEOA. Knowing there are many outstanding questions related to the provisions in the HEOA, FSA has also scheduled a live internet Town Hall Meeting. Participants are invited to submit their questions in advance. Trainers will present the questions and answers during the 90-minute meeting on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. (MT).
