RMASFAA to Hold Annual Summer Institute

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority posts this reminder that the Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (RMASFAA) is again offering its annual Summer Institute, to be held on the campus of the University of Utah. The nationally acclaimed training program will be held May 31 – June 5, 2009.

Divided into three tracks, Summer Institute provides training for professionals with any level of experience on the college campus or in the student loan industry.

  • The Beginner Track is designed for individuals fresh in student aid. Those new to the job or with new responsibilities follow a “nuts and bolts” curriculum designed to provide a working knowledge of the federal financial aid programs along with an understanding of the laws and regulations that govern these programs.
  • The Intermediate Track will focus on issues familiar to more seasoned professionals, with topics carefully selected to meet their needs. While still anchored in matters of day-to-day operations in student financial aid, the curriculum takes the discussion to the next level.
  • The Advanced/Associate Track is specifically designed for student loan professionals and seasoned financial aid administrators who want higher-level discussion with peers and an opportunity to consider topics beyond fundamental operations and compliance. An excellent venue in leadership, this track caps enrollment at 27 participants.

Because of the quality of the training and the excellent opportunity for networking, RMASFAA Summer Institute comes highly recommended to anyone interested in professional growth and development. Information and registration can be found at: http://www.rmasfaa.org/docs/toc_summerinstitute.html.
