ED Publishes Reports on Number of FAFSAs Received

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority offers notice that the U.S. Department of Education has posted reports providing a count of the Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSAs) received by the Central Processing System for the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 award years. To assist with comparisons, the Department provided the reports for the first quarter of 2009-2010, the identical quarter of 2008-2009, and all processing to date for 2008-2009.

The first three reports reflect the number of FAFSAs received from each state, and display figures for both dependent and independent students. These documents can be accessed through the Electronic Announcement found at: http://ifap.ed.gov/eannouncements/041309NumberofAppsbyState.html.

The second batch of reports contains the number of FAFSAs receive by school. Each report identifies the source of the application—paper, electronic, or Web. The data are sorted by institution using the Federal School Code. These reports are attached to the following Electronic Announcement: http://ifap.ed.gov/eannouncements/041309NumAppbySch.html.
