Department of Education Announces Intent for Five Negotiated Rulemaking Committees

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority apprises the student financial aid community of the Department of Education announcement of its intent to establish five negotiated rulemaking committees to prepare proposed regulations under Title IV of the Higher Education Act. The five negotiating committees are:

Each committee will include representatives of organizations or groups with interests that are significantly affected by the subject matter to be addressed for the proposed regulations. Nominations for individual negotiators are requested by the Department and should represent key stakeholders that are involved in Title IV student financial aid programs. January 23, 2009 is the date by which the Department should receive nominations for negotiators.
