Final Rule Issued for Federal Perkins and FFELP Loans

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority (UHEAA) advises participating schools and lenders that the Department of Education has published a Final Rule for the Federal Perkins Loan Program, and the Federal Family Education Loan Program. 

The regulations, which become effective July 1, 2009, amend existing rules to implement provisions of the College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2008 (CCRAA).  Included are rules for the Income-Based Repayment (IBR) plan and the Public Service Loan forgiveness Program.
