FSA Financial Aid Basics Workshops

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority has learned that Federal Student Aid (FSA) announced a series of workshops for new financial aid office staff.  The four-day trainings cover basic financial aid topics such as determining student eligibility, calculation of EFC, disbursement requirements, and other important school functions.

From January through September 2009, a workshop is offered every month at different Department of Education training facilities throughout the country.  Registration is required.  More information about the workshops, locations, and a link for registration can be found at http://ifap.ed.gov/dpcletters/0918FinancialAidBasicswkshps.html.
