Updated Version of R2T4 Available

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority has learned that Federal Student Aid has posted on the Web a CCRAA-compliant version of Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4).  Modified to implement provisions related to the College Cost Reduction and Access Act (CCRAA), the online application is used by postsecondary institutions to calculate the earned and unearned portion of Title IV program assistance.

The updated version of R2T4 adds the new CCRAA-compliant credit-hour and clock-hour worksheets and a new Post-Withdrawal Disbursement worksheet for use with students who withdraw on or after July 1, 2008.  FSA strongly recommends that schools use the paper worksheets, rather than R2T4 on the Web, to do calculations for students who have a withdrawal date prior to July 1, 2008.

Another change to R2T4, necessitated by CCRAA, is the addition of TEACH Grant to applicable worksheets.  There is also a new Post-Withdrawal Disbursement Notification Tracking Status page to handle the difference in time periods for post-withdrawal disbursement of grant funds in contrast to loan funds.

The FSA Electronic Announcement of the updated R2T4 application can be found at http://ifap.ed.gov/eannouncements/0728CCRAAOperImpGuidance.html.
