Discarding Obsolete UHEAA Brochures
Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority has been significantly impacted by new legislation which became effective October 1, 2007. The College Cost Reduction and Access Act reduces UHEAA’s yield on new student loans. Student loan organizations throughout the nation have been evaluating the effect of the new legislation on their borrower benefit programs.
UHEAA management is currently conducting a careful analysis of the severity of these federally-imposed reductions to determine future borrower benefits. Until new benefits are announced, existing loan brochures could lead to some confusion. Therefore, UHEAA is asking that all loan brochures schools, lenders, and other organizations have in their inventory be immediately discarded.
UHEAA intends to continue to be an industry leader in the value of borrower benefits offered. Once the new benefits are determined, replacement brochures will be printed and distributed.
