Process for Requesting Renewal FAFSA for 2001-2002
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) recently issued an Action Letter, GEN-00-10, regarding the process for requesting electronic and printed Renewal Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (Renewal FAFSA) for the 2001-2002 processing cycle. This Action Letter is one of two on the 2001-2002 Renewal FAFSA process. GEN-00-10 provides a summary of participation choices for the processing year, a list of questions and answers about the process, and a schedule of important dates. The second Action Letter, scheduled for release in August 2000, will contain more extensive information regarding the 2001-2002 Renewal Application request.
