Default Fee Benefit

• UHEAA pays the 1% default fee on behalf of borrowers who receive loans through a UHEAA Partner Lender.

Stafford Loan Benefits

• No fees are charged to the borrower on Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans that are sold to UHEAA's secondary market. Please see the Partner Lender list for more information.
• The interest rate of a Federal Stafford Loan is automatically reduced by 0.25% when the loan is set up for automatic payments and monthly payments are actively withdrawn from a checking or savings account.  Sign up for Automatic Payments

Parent and Graduate/Professional PLUS Loan Benefits

• UHEAA offices are located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
• UHEAA Customer Service Representatives are available
  Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and
  Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
